STORYTELLING | DIGITAL MARKETING | AUDIENCE BUILDING
I have a passion for creating and building new things and am adept in the rigor of narrative reporting, digital storytelling, and emerging platforms. I am currently managing audience engagement/growth and branded content at a purely digital News Corp company in India, and before this, I was heading content marketing and communications for PropTiger.com and Makaan.com, News Corp-backed real estate portal in India.
I have been a journalist at Mint and The Indian Express and in my ten years of writing for these leading newspapers in India, I have passionately explored the link between politics and economy, education and politics, health and economy, caste and economy, culture and crime, and investigated deeply the incidents of true crime, terrorism, disasters, and religious exclusion in India, peeling the layers and nuances hitherto uncovered. You can read some of my long form and enterprise stories here.
I am a storyteller – Besides narrative non-fiction, I write memoirs, short stories and poetry. You can read my blog StoryCellar here.
I was invited to write a book by the Aleph Book Company on the much debated Jessica Lal murder in India, which, like many great opportunities that have come my way, I didn’t take up for the love of studying Economics.
I teach Economics, Political Science and History to high school students over the weekend (pro bono) – this gives me tremendous hope and zest for life, as imparting free education is my way of paying back for all the kindnesses I have received in this world.
